Succeed in Market Invasion with Print Catalogs

July 8, 2009

Marketing Tips

Catalogs can well be your “it” tools to get the big slice of the pie in your market. They’re promising packages of info that give you more space for your pitch. Customers also get enough of a feel about what you stand for to get them excited about your offers. But you have to apply a few techniques to really stand out and rule. Here’s how.

Rule the Market with Catalogs

Build a Lifestyle

Market more than your products; market a whole lifestyle with them. Make that lifestyle popular and hip, and make your products indispensable to it. This will make your customers attracted to that lifestyle not just want your products, but actually need them. And start seeing your company as the source of all that coolness.

Create a Catchy Design

Your catalogs should radiate that coolness, so they have to look absolutely terrific. Make a standard look for your whole business that will also show on all of your promotional materials. We’ve already tackled smooth catalog design tips on a previous post so check back on that to keep your products on the spotlight.

Send Them Out

Mail your catalogs to subscribers, hand them out to passers-by, and give them to customers when they buy at your business places. Leave them as freebies in stores and events. Do whatever it takes for them to get to the right people, the ones who will flip through your catalog print’s pages and think, “These are the products for me.”

Rinse and Repeat

Send out your print catalogs again when the time is right. Change your catalog designs regularly so they will keep looking fresh and inviting. Just as you have to refresh your business’s pitch as time passes, so you have to refresh yourself in people’s minds. This will get you a solid, stand-out spot in your market that you can expand on so you can rule!
